Yearning

Yelena Glazova's volume raises unusual questions: for example, what to do with an Orthodox forgiveness chip implanted in us because of Dostoevsky's premature works, or if we find ourselves in Monet's Lake in a separate hell for creators after we die as an artist? It is the place of human history and art running on the Möbius strip - all embedded in the specific cyber world of the volume, the realm of clones and gynoids. Translated by Orsolya Kis Jelena Glazova (1979) became a poet, sound and visual artist living in Riga. He is interested in the interdisciplinary and inter-media fields of contemporary art, combining texts, images and experimental sounds in his works. His volume of poetry, Longing, was originally published in 2019 in Latvia.
